I am on chapter 21 of the third pass of my book: the first being the whole big bloated story purged from my brain to the page. The second being the revised chapters submitted to my critique group. The third incorporates the criticism. One note in the margin today suggests: drama, not good drama. I re-read the paragraph. It's not. This is what revision is for.
